US road trip

We've completed our 2 month road trip. After driving nearly 6000 miles across 17 states, Randl has left the US of A.

Roni Stoneman

Whilst in Nashville, we were fortunate enough to catch a live show of the hilarious Roni Stoneman. Now 73, she's a noted bluegrass banjo player and former member of the Hee Haw gang. She's also the youngest daughter of country music legend Pop Stoneman. Check out a couple of videos below...

Gomez @ The Fillmore

This weekend we were lucky enough to watch Gomez at The Fillmore, San Francisco's legendary music venue. 

One of the big pulls of this venue is it's place in musical history and all of the acts that have played there over the decades. This is illustrated by the poster art that adorns the walls, a tradition started in the 60s and going on to promote gigs with bands such as The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and The Doors.

The Fillmore is unique in always producing a limited off-set poster series for shows, designed by in-house artists and handed out to the audience for free. San Fran, you've treated us well.

The Coxless Rowers

We're excited to announce our involvement in a long-term project. We were asked by friend of Randl Annabel Hancock, if we could create some branding for her all female ocean rowing team that are aiming to row the Pacific Ocean in 2013.

We were asked to come up with names for the team and as an all female team, we decided there was only one option... 'The Coxless Rowers.'

Looking forward to how this project could develop, with the team due to leave San Francisco in June 2013 and row all the way to Cairns via Hawaii and Fiji. We've just launched their website that aims to support the team as they raise sponsorship and build awareness of their chosen charities, so take a visit to find out more about this extraordinary challenge.  

 

Pickles has gone digital...

We sent the second issue of Pickles - our football paper - off to print yesterday, looking forward to getting it back next week but in the meantime you can check out the Pickles website and we'll let you know when you can get your hands on the second edition.
